The result of engineering constantly improved - the new KTM 990 Duke has arrived at Motorcycles R Us.
Replacing the now discontinued 890 Duke and 890 Duke R, this has become KTM's midsized street naked. Sounds weird hey! Considering when 990 was mentioned in a model, that was the largest size available.
Pictured here in orange is our demo - you can organise a test ride with our Sales Team. Details below or complete the form against the listing via the link.

Released in conjunction of KTM's 30 Years of Duke (a welcome screen on the dash reminds you of this), this 947cc parallel twin road bike weighing in at 179kg is for most of us the perfect combination of balance, handling, power and sharp riding style.
The striking LED front lighting features a bright headlight for being seen and to see with, plus the new signature LED DRL that not only gets you noticed, but also makes the bike appear wider to oncoming or vehicles ahead - great for safety and making the bike stand out to those dreaming from the sidelines.
And because LED lighting is clever and bright these days, the tail piece has been cleaned up with no central lamp; instead a combination indicator/tail/brake lamp each side, again making the bike appear wider to those behind.
The newly designed switchblock is backlit, and is worked around you finding what you need by natural feel, whilst being intuitive operating the clever menu system on the bond-glass colour display.
Remaining the most compact motor in its class, the LC8c configuration keeps the model true to its goal for a fast turning excellent handling street weapon, suited to those finding the combination of urban rides either to work or for relaxation, but not being a slouch when it's time to get out of town on highway turns.
Mechanically this model is evident of the ever-developing engineering success of KTM, taking what's been invented and quickly making what's great even better, or listening to their owners to improve on the slightest adjustment. In this instance, this model stays ahead of what is offered on the market, with electronic and mechanical features that are top-shelf yet suited to everyday riding.
