KTM have increased pricing slightly [a normal practise year-on-year] and now apart from a massive redesign have included features and engineering changes that make a lot of sense for a buyer.
Engineering changes include:
- Longer stroke motor, now 398cc vs old 373cc
- Euro 5.2 emissions standard
- Low 165kg weight without fuel (149kg dry)
- Updates to the engine head and gearbox
- New steel trellis frame
- New lightweight wheels
- Die-cast aluminium subframe
- Slightly longer wheelbase
- New triple clamps
- Hollow axle open hub front design for less weight
- Revised swingarm, now curved
- Off-centre mounted rear shock (for larger airbox, lower seat height)
- Lower seat height 820mm vs old 830mm
- Optional 800mm low seat
- Thicker seat foam, more comfort
- New light forged aluminium footpegs
- New compresison and rebound fork adjustment
- Shock pre-load and rebound adjustment
- More anodised brake components for better corrosion resistance
Electronics now include:
- New ride modes
- Revised 5 inch TFT display
- Phone connectivity via the KTMconnect app (music, calls, turn-by-turn nav)
- New switchblocks, backlit, now with additional functionality
- Self cancelling indicators
- New LED lighting that's striking to admire but also ultra safe in design for being seen
- Secret speed limit feature (like LIM on your car, setting what you'd like the speed to max out to, great for say school zones)
- Optional Quickshifter+
