Suzuki have updated their 999 cc street and touring models with performance enthusiasts in mind. Sticking to what they know best and with proven mechanicals, it's typical that Suzuki keep it safe with minor improvements over out of the box introductions. The GSX-S1000 naked has an aggressive, sharp look. Now with ride by wire, this from tests has taken the snappy throttle away that was good or bad for riders on the previous generation.
Full LED lighting and a new LCD display, this model promises to deliver a overall street package for the commute or aggressive track day. Brembo front stoppers, adjustable suspension, sticky Dunlop tyres and revised riding position with the bars now 23 degrees further to the rider. Available in 3 colours; Triton Blue, Sparkle Black and Mechanical Grey. We expect the Triton Blue, being traditional Suzuki, will be the best seller.
The GSX-S1000GT is essentially a replacement for the GSX-S1000F, however now with proper Grand Touring in mind. This model copies the mechanicals of the naked, but with more tech and rider protection.
Suzuki's first model to introduce a colour 6.5" TFT screen, providing a host of motorcycle information, in addition to connectivity to your smartphone. Using the new mySPIN app by Suzuki, this reflects content from your phone such as music, contacts, navigation and more.
A tourer isn't one without cruise control nowadays, the GT delivers in this area. It also has 5 levels of traction control plus you can switch it off completely. Panniers are pictured, however are optional.
The new GSX-S1000GT is available in two colours; Triton Blue and Reflective Blue.
After the two above were announced, Suzuki then launched the GSX-S1000GT Panorama, named after the famed racetrack we all love at Bathurst. Easy described as a GT with panniers, this model is also available in Triton Blue and Reflective Blue. So far, it is proving more popular than the standard GT, understandably so with those who want a GT to do longer rides on like an overnighter.
