Who is Braktec?

You may have heard of Braktec, or maybe not as they have flown under the radar until mostly when GASGAS featured their products on some motocross, cross country and mostly their enduro's.

WHO IS BRAKTEC THEN?

You may have not been aware that Braktec products have been fitted to a bike you have ridden, with manufacturer branding instead shown.

brembo acquires j.juan

We all know Brembo as a sought after brand. Maybe we want their products without really even needing their outstanding high speed performance!

Brembo has signed an agreement for the acquisition of a 100% stake in the J.Juan Group, a Spanish company specialising in the development and production of motorbike braking systems. 

Founded in 1965, J.Juan is based in Gavà (Barcelona) and has three plants in Spain and one in China, manufacturing especially brake hoses, a strategic safety component for braking systems that will complement the current range of Brembo products for motorbikes. 

With this transaction, Brembo forges ahead with its path to become a trusted solution provider. The acquisition of J.Juan will enable the Group to complete its range of solutions for the motorbike braking system and to expand its brand family for the growing motorbike sector.

We have been Brembo braking on performance, adventure and top-spec street bikes, plus across KTM and GASGAS offroad range.

We have also seen GASGAS features Braktec branded products.

With the above knowledge, you can be reassured no matter the branding on the calliper or hydraulics from the KTM Group, quality is assured. Brembo otherwise would not have invested to 100% own J.Juan and then of course Braktec.
